New Prices effective 29th March 2010

With effect from March 29, 2010, changes to postage and ancillary services rates will be introduced in a bid to keep up with challenging commercial conditions within the postal world.

Local and UK letter rates will go up 3p with the price of a small letter up to 100g for Isle of Man addresses rising to 35p and 36p for UK addresses. Even after this tariff has been introduced, Isle of Man Post Office’s postage rates will still be among the lowest in Europe. The average cost of sending a 100g item by First Class post or equivalent in Europe is now 82p*, more than twice the price of the new Isle of Man Post Office local rate.

A significant change offers some exciting enhancements to our International services which will allow customers to match delivery options to suit their needs. Most notably, the introduction of a new faster international delivery service to replace International Datapost. With delivery scheduled from two working days to the USA, Canada and Europe, Global Express is ideal for businesses and customers looking for a quick, reliable, tracked and guaranteed service for both urgent documents and packages sent internationally.

Letters

C5 or under. Up to 100g. Less than 5mm thick.

For example:

• Most letters
• Postcards
• Bills and statements
• Some brochures and catalogues
• Most greeting cards

5mm thick is the equivalent of 12 pieces of standard photocopies/A4 office printer paper folded in half in a C5 envelope.

Large Letters

C4 or under. Up to 750g. Less than 25mm thick

For example:

• Letters containing unfolded A4 paper
• Most brochures, catalogues and company reports
• CDs & DVDs
