Manx-born Chris Killip is widely regarded as one of the most influential British photographers.

Winner of numerous awards, his work is held in the permanent collections of major museums around the world.
He is the author of five books and is currently a Professor of Visual Studies at Harvard University, USA.

In an absorbing issue text (included in Presentation Pack and FDC) Chris looks back on his career, early inspirations and the circumstances which led him to focus on the disappearing world of Mills & Millers, captured forever in these evocative images.
