Update from Royal Mail
Royal Mail have announced that there are significant delays in delivering items to a number of countries right now due to a lack of available transport links and suspension of certain country’s postal operations. They strongly advise not to send items to these destinations which are listed as ‘On suspension’ on their website. For a full list of these countries please use this link.
MiCard Customers Ballasalla Post Office and Sulby Post Office
Due to the closure of Ballasalla Post Office and Sulby Post Office MiCard Customers, who collect their benefits from either branch are asked to contact SSD at ☎️ 685092 to nominate an alternative Post Office branch.

Postal Service affected by operational changes at Ronaldsway Airport
Due to new operating times of Ronaldsway Airport the mail plane will not be able to land on Saturdays. We will continue to deliver parcels on Saturdays (local parcel deliveries).

Royal Mail and Parcelforce Suspend Time Guarantee on All Services
Royal Mail and Parcelforce have suspended the timed guarantee on all of their services - this applies to customers sending items to the UK, the Channel Islands and internationally. Both Royal Mail and Parcelforce are working with airlines and their postal/courier partners across the globe to maintain service. Deliveries in the UK will continue to take place on the day they are due but due to operational issues regarding Covid-19, the guaranteed time of delivery has been suspended.
Collection of benefits and pensions using a proxy
For any vulnerable people who are concerned about collecting their benefits or pension from a Post Office due to the threat of Covid-19 Coronavirus, you can nominate a proxy who can collect these benefits on your behalf. The necessary form can be downloaded from this link, or they are available at all sub post offices.
Alternative delivery services
We have begun to receive requests from some of our customers not to deliver their mail, either because they have opted to work remotely, or as a precaution.
Unfortunately Isle of Man Post Office is unable to accept informal instructions to cease delivery of mail; however we are able to provide business customers with the following delivery service alternatives:

Press release - Changes introduced to Protect Post Office Staff & Customers
At present, there are no confirmed cases of Covid-19 Coronavirus on the Isle of Man and the risk remains low. The Isle of Man Government website is updated daily, providing useful information and we would recommend you follow the link below:
Information from Public Health England remains unchanged that the risk of infection from packets and parcels remains low.
Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) has robust business contingency plans in place for a range of scenarios where our services may be affected, these are regularly tested, reviewed and updated.
IOMPO is following the World Health Organisation, UK and Isle of Man Government advice regarding the Covid-19 Coronavirus.
Our staff are required to self-isolate if they are feeling unwell, or they suspect they may have been in contact with someone who has the virus. IOMPO has a small number of staff self-isolating as a precautionary measure only. We do not believe this presents a risk to others.
IOMPO will advise customers and suppliers of any changes to operational processes.
