You can collect a number of government payments from any Isle of Man Post Office branch.
Isle of Man Government Payments
Isle of Man Post Office provides cash payments on the following:
Child Benefit, Pensions and Allowances
- Evidence of identity may be required
- The back of the voucher should be completed if a third party is collecting payment
- Must be encashed within 12 weeks
Department of Health Benefit Cheques
- Crossed cheques cannot be encashed by Isle of Man Post Office
- Evidence of identity will be required. Cannot be collected by a third party
- Must be encashed within 1 month
Other Government Cheques
- Crossed cheques cannot be encashed by Isle of Man Post Office
- Evidence of identity will be required. Cannot be collected by a third party
- Must be encashed within 6 months
NB. There is no reciprocal agreement for Child Benefit or Supplementary Benefits between the Isle of Man and the UK.
Customers cannot encash their UK pensions when they are visiting the Island and UK Child Benefit cannot be claimed on the Isle of Man either.
