Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) introduces a set of eight stamps visualizing humanity’s return and future on - but more accurately in the Moon. The issue completes a trilogy of stamps following the ‘One Small Step’ (2019) and ‘One Giant Leap’ (2020) collections and focuses on the current achievements as well as vividly narrating what the future will hold for humankind.
Issued on the 75th Birthday of HM King Charles III Lord of Mann Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) is honoured to recognise the Coronation with a set of seven stamps, featuring images of their Majesties at key points during the ceremony.
Isle of Man Post Office has published its annual statutory board plan for 2023-24, which will go before Tynwald next month (November). The same Tynwald sitting will see IOMPO’s annual report and financial statements for the period ended 26th March 2023 laid.
Continuing the celebration of its 50th anniversary, Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) is inviting the public to design their very own post box. The competition is open to all ages and everyone is welcome to participate with the winners having their design featured on one of two post boxes in the community.
Isle of Man Post Office advises that the dedicated aircraft used to convey mail between the UK and the Isle of Man will cease on 16th October 2023.
With effect from 6th August, Royal Mail implemented changes to its UK Postal Scheme, so it is no longer required to deliver next day mail between the UK and the Isle of Man. These modifications were accompanied by Royal Mail's intention to cease operations of their dedicated mail aircraft, currently used to convey mail to and from the Island, in favour of extending ferry and road freight services. Prior to making this pivotal shift, Royal Mail committed to engaging in discussions with the Isle of Man Post Office.
As part of their 50th Anniversary celebrations the team at Isle of Man Post Office has collected and donated monies for Manx registered charity ‘Wish Upon A Dream’.
