Issue text author Lady Colin Campbell said: ‘I feel very honoured to have been asked to provide the words which accompany the stamps commemorating our beloved Queen's Platinum Jubilee. She has been the ideal exemplar of what a Constitutional Monarch should be for the last seventy years, and I know I am but one of many who feel privileged to have lived under such a sterling Head of State.’

Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man, Sir John Lorimer commented: ‘Her Majesty the Queen, Lord of Mann, has reigned through an extraordinary period of history, with steadfastness, dignity and grace. It is indeed an honour to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee this year and I am delighted that the Isle of Man has produced these wonderful stamps in commemoration of a truly remarkable monarch, who has given so much to so many over her 70 year reign.’

Chris Thomas, Chair IOMPO said: ‘Isle of Man Post Office is honoured to issue this special postal tribute to commemorate the truly momentous occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, Lord of Mann. This is a fitting tribute that not only celebrates the occasion, but also conveys appreciation for the service Her Majesty has given so generously since her Accession to the throne in 1952. The collection makes for a perfect keepsake to remember this historic moment.'
