Each edition is hand numbered and complete with a certificate of authenticity to confirm your example. Just 300 editions of this limited edition cover have been produced for worldwide release.
The George Cross was awarded to the Island of Malta by King George VI in a letter to the island's Governor, so as to "bear witness to the heroism and devotion of its people" during the great siege they underwent in the early part of World War II.
In commemoration of this anniversary, this cover has been produced alongside Malta Post and features their 2013 stamp picturing the Siege Bell memorial. This stamp features a special cancel acknowledging the award of the George Cross, dated 18th April 2022.
