Local artist Julia Ashby Smyth has focussed on a selection of Manx words and religious emblems most closely associated with the spiritual aspects of Christmas and winter festival.

This highly-collectable festive First Day Cover contains the story of the beginnings of the first prayer book translated into Manx by Bishop Phillips in 1765. Local artist Julia Ashby Smyth's interpretation of the text depicted on the stamps are joined together by a unique Isle of Man postmark of the symbol of light or 'Soilshey' in Manx Gaelic.
