Isle of Man Post Office prepares for next week's Spring Stampex 2017

London's Business Design Centre will once again play host to Spring Stampex from Wednesday 15th – Saturday 18th February and representatives from Isle of Man Post Office's Stamps and Coins team will be there.

Spring Stampex 2017, the UK's premier stamps show, organised by the Philatelic Traders' Society, will feature around 100 exhibitors from the philatelic community including Isle of Man Post Office who will be positioned on stand 78.

The first day of the exhibition (February 15th) will see Isle of Man Post Office issue its first ever variable value self-adhesive definitives stamps titled 'Triskelion Definitives' which feature the Manx national symbol the Three Legs of Man.

The 'Triskelion Definitives' stamp collectibles will be available from handheld machines on the Post Office's stand for the duration of the show and one lucky visitor to the stand over the course will win the first ever set of the Triskelion stamps printed from the handheld machine.

Spring Stampex will also provide Isle of Man Post Office the opportunity to showcase its most recent stamp issues to collectors, including The Hearts of Ellan Vannin by artist Adam Berry and The Sapphire Anniversary of HM The Queen set and miniature sheet. To add to this, Isle of Man Post Office will also be celebrating the launch of its 150th Anniversary of the First Open House of Keys Elections stamp collection and will be joined on its stand from 2pm on Wednesday 15th February by the Isle of Man's President of Tynwald, Steve Rodan.

Isle of Man Stamps and Coins General Manager, Maxine Cannon, said: "We are looking forward to attending and exhibiting at the 2017 spring show where we will be unveiling our first issue of variable value definitive stamps which are extremely popular among stamp enthusiasts and considered to be the next generation of self-adhesive stamps. We also look forward to showcasing our latest stamp issues and catching up with our customers and key contacts. We attend the show on an annual basis and it is always of great value to us."
