Stamps issued for Isle of Man

Isle of Man Post Office is pleased to present a vibrant set of eight stamps celebrating the UEFA EURO 2020™ which had to be postponed in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament will take place from 11th June – 11th July 2021, attracting the attention of a truly gigantic audience across Europe and the world. This issue celebrates the reintroduction of fans back into stadiums as well as a theme of togetherness across Europe through football.

UEFA EURO 2020™ is being held across the continent for the first time in the competitions 60-year history, with action unfolding across 11 host cities: Amsterdam, Baku, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome, Seville and St. Petersburg.

Utilising the official UEFA EURO 2020™ artwork, the stamps have been designed by local agency Isle of Man Advertising. They celebrate the ways through which football can bring people together, following a theme of connection and unity of host stadiums as well as iconic landmarks and scenery from eight host cities, the stamps are linked by a football pitch themed pathway as well as bridges, connecting fans across Europe through football.

Maxine Cannon, General Manager Isle of Man Stamps & Coins, said: “We are honoured to be partnering with UEFA EURO 2020™and to be able to offer an official licensed product for the tournament with our stunning and vibrant stamps. The tournament theme of togetherness through football is very fitting which, along with the re-introduction of fans back to stadiums, symbolises a return to normality following the difficult period of the Covid pandemic and the postponement of the tournament last summer. We wish the home nations of England, Scotland and Wales the very best of luck.”

The stamps will be issued on 11th June 2021 as Set, Sheet Set, Presentation Pack (limited to 3000), First Day Cover (limited to 5000), and premium stamp collection in a limited edition of 1250 worldwide. www.iompost.com/officiallicensedproduct-EURO2020
