For our delivery colleagues to be able to leave your items for you there must be an alternative delivery location which is accessible, secure and weatherproof such as a shed, garage, covered porch or a container with a lid.
Many on-line retailers encourage customers to add notes about their delivery preferences when making their order. If you add delivery notes when making your order, our delivery colleagues can use these to understand your preferences and leave your items safely as requested.
Our delivery colleagues are unable to leave any items requiring a signature unless you have signed up to Authority to Sign. This free service enables our delivery colleagues to sign for the items on your behalf and leave them in a safe place for you.
There will be some addresses where it is just not possible to leave your item safely and therefore items will not be able to left. In these cases a notice left card will be left for you and then you have three options:
The notice left card will have the location of the site your item will need to be collected from. Take your notice left card along with photographic ID and your item will be given to you.
If the location on your notice left card isn’t convenient for you, you can arrange to collect your item from one of our other locations at no extra charge. Visit www.iompost.com/collections, enter the barcode number from the notice left card and select the location you would like to collect from. When the item is ready for you to collect you can sign up to receive a text message.
Visit www.iompost.com/redelivery, enter the barcode number from the notice left card and arrange for your item to be delivered on another day when you will be home.
