Will the parcel be covered against loss or damage?

Do you deliver on a Saturday?

Saturday delivery is available for parcels posted on a Friday.  The extra cost for this service is £14.40.

Can a parcel be left without a signature?

No, we require a signature upon delivery.

Is a signature required?

A signature upon delivery is required for all Parcelforce Express services.

What time will my parcels be delivered by?

Parcelforce Express AM

Parcels will be delivered between 7am and 12 noon

Parcelforce Express Next Day

Parcels will be delivered by 5.30pm

Parcelforce Express 48

Parcels will be delivered by 5.30pm

Can I insure my item against loss or damage?

The standard compensation for an item sent by International Tracked and Signed services is £50, however extra compensation of up to £250 is available if required (depending on country of acceptance).

Please note:

If the destination country accepts items containing cash, the maximum compensation payable for loss of cash is £100.

Mobile phones may be sent by International Tracked and Signed, but the maximum compensation for any loss or damage is limited to £50.

Can I send International Tracked and Signed items to a PO Box or pack station?

International Tracked and Signature items require a signature to be taken on delivery therefore they cannot be sent to PO Boxes, unless the destination country is in Africa or the Middle East. International Tracked and Signature cannot be sent to pack stations in any country.

Are all International Tracked and Signature items electronically tracked until they are delivered?

International Tracked & Signed is a full end to end tracking service offering a signature on delivery and online confirmation

International Tracked offers tracking at five points after despatch as well as an online confirmation of delivery

International Signed is tracked until the item leaves the UK and a signature is obtained on delivery

Is a signature taken on delivery?

When your mail is delivered, the item will be electronically scanned by the postal operative delivering it to confirm it has arrived. A signature is not taken, but an electronic delivery confirmation is used to update our tracking tool.

Can I insure my item in case of loss or damage?

We do not offer insurance against loss or damage for this service. International Signed For can offer insurance up to £250 depending on the country of destination.

 Can I have my item signed for on delivery?

You can use International Signed For to send mail to just about every country in the world. All mail will be recorded at the point of delivery with a signature.

Can I track my item?

Airmail is not a tracked service. If you use Airsure you can track your item online to its final destination. For some destinations, International Signed For also provides overseas tracking.

Are delivery times guaranteed?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee delivery times. Although your mail will be put on the first available international flight, delivery standards in other countries vary.

How can I send Airmail even faster?

Airsure provides priority handling in the UK and abroad. We can put your mail on the first available flight to 35 destinations.


Special Delivery

Can I buy consequential loss coverage?

Isle of Man Post Office does not offer compensation for consequential loss on any of its services.

Can I have something delivered on Saturday?

For a small fee, we will accept your items on Friday for 9:00am* or 1:00pm delivery on Saturday. Saturday delivery cannot be accepted for some businesses including:

  • Banks
  • Building societies
  • Travel agents
  • Jewellers
  • Post Office branches.

*Exceptions apply.

What size and weight can my Special Delivery item be?

The maximum weight limit for Special Delivery guaranteed by 1pm items is 20kg. The maximum weight limit for Special Delivery guaranteed by 9am items is 2kg.

The maximum size 610 x 460 x 460mm.  Maximum size for rolls etc is length plus two times the diameter must be no greater than 1040mm with a length of no more than 900mm.

Can I get a refund if my item is not delivered on time?

Yes. Customers have up to 12 months to claim if your item is not delivered on time we'll refund your money providing you have your proof of posting. If your item gets lost or damaged while it's in our care, you can make a claim for compensation.

How will I know it's been delivered?

When we deliver your item we'll collect a signature to confirm receipt. We then update our online Track & Trace tool with details of the delivery time and date.

Where in the UK do we deliver?

We deliver most items the next working day by 9:00am or 1:00 pm – depending on the service you select. We also deliver on Saturdays if the item arrives at our local delivery office that day, but we can't guarantee delivery.

Signed For

What compensation cover is provided with Signed For?

Signed For items are covered against loss or damage up to the sum of £50 or the value of the item, whichever is lower. Compensation for valuables, such as money and jewellery is not available on this serivce.

Valuables (money and jewellery) and items of greater value should be sent using Special Delivery which is a tracked and secure service.

Is my item guaranteed to arrive next day?

Although we aim for your Signed For item to be delivered on the next working day, we are unable to provide a guaranteed next day delivery. For this we recommend Special Delivery.

What happens if my Signed For item doesn't arrive?

Your item should arrive on time and in perfect condition. If an item of mail you have posted with us is lost or damaged and you have met the conditions of posting, you may be eligible for compensation. Please keep your proof of posting receipt.

How do I check if my Signed For item has been delivered?

You can confirm the delivery of Signed For mail with our online Track & Trace tool. You can also view the receiver's signature online. All you need to do is enter your 13 digit reference number.


PO Box

How can I rent a box?

You can only rent a box at the delivery office which delivers mail to the address given on the application form. The application form is available for download from this page.

How many boxes can I rent?

You can normally rent up to five boxes for each address. If you need more please contact customer services.

Who is the service aimed at?

ePostbox will undoubtedly appeal to a wide variety of customers, but will be predominately aimed at English speaking expats around the world, frequent travellers, multiple home owners, students and customers who are away from home for extended periods of time. It will benefit people who want a fixed permanent address for life regardless how many times they move and for those who want to access their post mail the same way as their email. The service is discreet and confidential allowing customers to have mail sent to their ePostbox they do not wish to receive at home.

How can I register for this service?

Registering for this service can only be completed through the online registration process on this website.

What is the minimum subscription period?

There is a minimum subscription of 1 month. By registering you are subscribing to a price package, which will be charged to your designated payment card each month until you terminate your subscription.

Is it safe to purchase products online?

We have gone to great lengths to ensure the online shopping experience on our website is safe and secure. All financial transactions are processed by a secure third party payment processing provider called WorldPay, who comply to all industry security standards.

We use an SSL certificate on all pages that contain or submit your personal data so it is encrypted and cannot be intercepted by anyone.

How do I file a complaint?

Isle of Man Post Office is committed to providing its customers with a high level of service however although we do everything we can to carry out this commitment, it is accepted that we may fail on occasions.
