Disruption to Postal Services: Update 22nd December 2020

Further to Monday's (21.12.20) announcement about the suspension of all postal services to Europe (excluding the Republic of Ireland), Turkey and Canada, we are recommending that customers DO NOT mail items to international destinations due to significant delays.

These restrictions are due to international concerns over the spread of the new variant of coronavirus which is impacting on the transportation of mail.
The UK Government are working to unblock the borders as fast as possible and Royal Mail are working to explore alternative options. We are closely monitoring the situation and will reopen services as soon as we are able to do so once the restrictions have been lifted.

It is unclear how long this disruption will remain in place but we will endeavour to keep customers updated via our website www.iompost.com/service-updates and social media channels. On-Island mail and items coming from the UK are unaffected by these disruptions.

Please accept our very sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. If you have any specific queries, please contact our Customer Services team via 664664 or customer.services@iompost.com.
