Isle of Man Post Office volunteers helped Hospice Isle of Man to raise over £5,500

A team of over 30 volunteers from Isle of Man Post Office gave up their weekend to support local charity, Hospice Isle of Man, with their Christmas Tree Collection Scheme.

The volunteers collected over 500 trees from across the Island and dropped them off at Ballaneven Compost Ltd in Peel and Tels Ltd at Snugborough Trading Estate, where 4.76 tonnes were shredded and are being prepared to use as compost.

All their hard work certainly paid off, as they successfully raised an amazing total of over £5,500 for the charity.

Noel Travis, Parcel Strategy & Operations Manager at the Isle of Man Post Office said "This great local charity is one that is close to the heart for many of us at Isle of Man Post Office and it is our pleasure to be able to help raise such a large amount of money for them. This is the second year we have helped and each and every volunteer genuinely enjoys and looks forwards to doing this. We have a great team and that shines through on occasions like this."
