NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR ISLE OF MAN POST OFFICE


Isle of Man Post Office announces the appointment of Simon Kneen as its new Chief Executive.

Mr Kneen, who is currently Isle of Man Post Office's (IOMPO) Director of Innovation and Technology, will officially take up the role with effect from 1st February 2018.

Mr Kneen joined IOMPO with a wealth of senior business change and IT software delivery experience from a range of financial sector companies operating internationally. Prior to joining the Post Office he spent a number of years working for Zurich and Capita on the Island.

Mr Kneen's new role will see him responsible for leading the organisation to build on success and maintain a sustainable business, play a pivotal role with the Board, lead the Executive and management teams throughout the business in developing and implementing the five year strategic plan and successfully manage key stakeholder relationships.

On his appointment Mr Kneen said: "As a Manxman I am honoured to be afforded the opportunity to lead the Post Office at a time when the business faces a number of key challenges. The postal industry is a rapidly changing field which poses lots of challenges whilst also opportunities for Isle of Man Post Office. I am very much looking forward to undertaking the role and helping to shape the business to be a modern and fit for purpose post office in this era of ever-increasing digital advancements and changing customer habits with physical mail."
