Pay and Post terminal kiosk repositioned


Isle of Man Post Office recently moved its self-service Pay and Post Sea Terminal kiosk to a more central position within the entrance area. The move was prompted as a result of feedback from customers that it acted upon following comment that its original position was difficult to locate.

The kiosk is now located opposite to Costa Coffee and is clearly signposted with posters and leaflets that use key messages, the material ensuring its prominence for customers.

The postal services offered at the Sea Terminal are available while it is open, from early morning to late evening outside of regular branch hours meaning transactions may be carried out at a more convenient time to the customer. In addition customers can now also leave parcels and large letters in the Welcome area when using the kiosk.

General Manager Retail Network, Marty Quine said: “Customer feedback recently received indicated that some customers were having difficulty locating our Pay and Post kiosk at the Sea Terminal, in light of this we chose to relocate the kiosk to a more prominent position and created new marketing material to ensure that this stands out when inside of the building or outside.”

He went on to say: “We welcome feedback from our customers on the services we provide, it’s important for us to ensure their needs are continually satisfied.”

There are currently nine Pay and Post kiosks across the Island, mostly situated in non-postal locations, providing customers with greater access to post office retail services at a time and place to suit them. The services available at the postal kiosks include postage of letters and small packets, purchase of postage labels and the payment of utility bills (MEA, Manx Telecom, Manx Gas, fixed penalties and Government rates and rents).
