New Partner for Postal Services in Ballasalla Appointed

Following a tender exercise, Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) has appointed the Spar Clagh Vane, in Ballasalla, operated by Mannin Retail Limited, as its new provider for parcel collection and assisted postal services in the village.

The new service will commence in two phases, the first being the ability to be able to collect parcels from the location with effect from Monday 27th April 2020. However in order to comply with social distancing guidelines in light of Covid19, the installation of a self-service touch screen kiosk will be at a later date when it is safe to do so. When in place, the kiosk will enable customers to buy postage, weigh and pay for items, pay utility bills, parking fines, rates and social housing rent using either card or cash payments, with staff from the Spar on hand to assist with the touch screen services, as well as provide information and advice for completing paper-based services.

Julie Edge MHK, Chairman, of IOMPO said: “The Board and I are pleased to have appointed a new partner in the village to host a postal kiosk and parcel drop off and collection facility for residents in the community.”

From Monday, customers will be able to collect parcels between 7am and 8pm seven days a week from the Spar Clagh Vane, Ballasalla.

IOMPO wishes to remind customers that post offices across the Island continue to be open during the Covid19 pandemic, however some are operating at reduced hours. For the latest opening hours of each post office please visit our postal services finder
