Statement from Isle of Man Post Office Thursday 23rd January 2020 at 09:05hrs

Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) wishes to advise its customers and suppliers of its service delivery for today (Thursday).

Mail that was not delivered yesterday will be delivered today, as well as mail which has been received via boat this morning. However, due to circumstances beyond IOMPO’s control, no airmail has been received.

IOMPO is pleased to advise that the Customer Counter at Postal Headquarters is now open and all business services will resume as normal. The Island-wide retail network is also open as usual.

Simon Kneen, Chief Executive of IOMPO, said: “We are pleased that our contingency plans have worked effectively and we would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding during the disruption to service yesterday. I would like to reiterate my thanks to our staff who have shown great flexibility, professionalism and team work during this situation.”

IOMPO is expecting tonight’s airmail to leave the Island on schedule.

IOMPO’s Customer Services Team can be contacted between 8am – 5pm on 664664 and via email: customer.services@iompost.com
